Singing at local nursing homes, raising tens of thousands of dollars for scholarships, building playgrounds, lighting the Little League ball field, founding and running the community Food Pantry and contributing to Kiwanis International projects are just a few of Montville Kiwanis long list of accomplishments.

Community Park Payground

The Playground at Community Park, an iconic feature of our community, was spearheaded and installed by Montville Kiwanis. A plaque dedicated to our members remains onsite, even though the original, wooden equipment was replaced by the Township in 2019. Benches commemorating Montville Kiwanis' involvement now sit in the newly rennovated pavilion as well.

MTHS Key Club

Arguably our most impactful means of giving back, Montville Kiwanis sponsors the MTHS Key Club, through which local youth actively engage as volunteers within their community by coordinating and executing charitable events and fundraisers that raise thousands of dollars annually for worthy causes (like their incredible Volleyball Marathon).

Roadside Clean Ups

Helping keep Montville Township litter-free.  Montville Kiwanis adopted River Rd. and Kiwanis along with the our MTHS Key Club members routinely clear it of scraps and litter.

2022 marked the first "strangest garbage" contest to boost litter awareness along with having some fun (and a sweet treat from Diane's Dairy to the winning team)

Christmas Caroling

Each winter, our members team up with the members of the MTHS Key Club to spread holiday cheer in senior and assisted living facilities within our community.

Montville Kiwanis Food Pantry

In 2010, we opened the Montville Kiwanis Food Pantry, which provides non-perishable food items to our neighbors in need.

Thanksgiving & Holiday Food Baskets

Each Fall, the MTHS Key Club organizes a canned food drive in the high school to benefit the Montville Kiwanis Food Pantry. Thanksgiving basket meal kits that are packed by Key  and hand-delivered by Kiwanis members to our neighbors in need.

In 2022, the project was expanded to pack and deliver Holiday Food Baskets in December as well.

Annual Key Club Scholarship Awards

Exemplary Key Club students are awarded the Montville Kiwanis scholarship for their academic achievements and impactful community service and leadership in the MTHS community to further their educational endeavors.  Past recipients, Katy Gao, Key Club President and Daniel Branco are pictured.

Youth Fishing Derby

April showers bring May flowers and the annual Fishing Derby! Montville Kiwanis partners with the Montville Recreation Department and the local PBA to host a contest for amateur wranglers (and the chance to win some amazing prizes!)
